Abstract: According to the CCD image sensor with the advantages of wide spectrum response, large dynamic scope, high geometric accuracy, easy connection wit h computer and digitalized processing, the paper introduced the main features of the CCD technology in the video monitoring and control, the dimension measurement, the surface inspection of the parts, the diction and analysis of the temperature field and other methods and introduced the applications of the CCD technology to the ind ustries.The paper analyzed the application and the present status of the CCD technology in coal industry.The paper provide the wide application outlook of the CCD tec hnology to the monitoring and measuring on the high temperature danger location, the coal dust and gas content, the size of the motion parts, the motion parameters an d the important equipment operation status as well as the online measuring of the large and high temperature forge piece for the mine machinery.
