Comparison and revelation of coalbed methane resources distribution characteristics and development status between China and America

  • 摘要: 为了对我国煤层气发展前景作出较为客观的评价,在深入对比中美煤层气地质条件和资源分布特征的基础上,对两国煤层气开发现状进行了研究,提出了我国煤层气发展的战略定位。研究结果表明:美国煤层气地质条件整体优于我国,其煤层气储层渗透率一般大于5×10-3μm2,产层多数常压或超压;我国煤层气储层渗透率普遍小于1×10-3μm2,产层大多低压。美国煤层气可采资源主要富集在前陆盆地中,新生代、中生代、古生代各占1/3,煤阶方面,中、低煤阶各占近1/2,高煤阶资源极少;我国煤层气可采资源主要富集在克拉通盆地中,中、古生代各占近1/2,新生代资源极少,高、中、低煤阶各占1/3。综合分析认为:煤层气是我国天然气生产的重要补充,预测未来煤层气地面开发年产量可望达到(100~200)×108m3。

     

    Abstract: In order to make a relatively objective conclusion on the CBM outlook in China,based on the deep comparison of CBM geological conditions and resources distribution characteristics in China and America,the study,which is on CBM development status of two countries,was carried out,and therefore,the strategic orientation of coalbed methane development in China was put forword.The results show that the CBM geological conditions in America is better than those in China as a whole.The reservoir permeability of American CBM is generally greater than 5×10-3μm2,and producing layers are mostly normal pressure or over pressure.In contrast,the reservoir permeability in China is usually less than 1×10-3μm2,and producing layers are mostly low pressure.The technically recoverable resources of CBM in the United States are mainly concentrated in foreland basins,and resources in Cenozoic are almost equal to those in Mesozoic or in Paleozoic.While CBM resources are roughly equally split between medium and low coal rank,the high coal rank resources are few.In comparison,the technically recoverable resources of CBM in China are mostly concentrated in Craton Basins,and resources in Mesozoic and those in Paleozoic are nearly half and half,while those in Cenozoic are few.Besides,resources from low,medium and high coal rank are roughly equivalent in China.Comprehensive analysis holds that the CBM is an important supplement to the natural gas production in China,and the annual output of CBM in the future is expected to reach 10~20 billion cubic meters.
