Abstract: in view of the importance of coal preparation to coal clean tiization.the authors introduced the present status of the development of China's cal preparation industry and the trend to develop large-scale coal preparation plants and domestic procss equipment.The technological advances made in recent years in coal ceaning process and equipment were summarzed.Meanwhile,the insuficiencies of China's coal cleaning equipment in re l lity and avtomation level were analyzed.Finally in order to meet the requirements of the scale and inensive development of china's coal industythe authors pointed out that the use of smplifred proc.ssill arger and smar cqupment.and rationalized energ utilization,.as well as inrease of preparaton proporion of power coal reated and decrease of producion of calslime,were the future development tendency.
