Abstract: With the statistics and analysis on the documents,the paper summarized the present occurrence status of the mine pressure bumping in China and the st udy status of the general features,occurrence mechanism,monitoring and measuring means and prevention methods.The results showed that the frequency intensity of t he mine pressure bumping occurred in China was shot up and the frequency intensity was shot up obviously in the shallow seam mining. The study on the mine pressur e bumping was conducted from the study on the occurrence mechanism of the mine pressure bumping steadily turned to the study on the prevention and control technol ogy of the mine pressure bumping.The monitoring and measuring of the mine pressure bumping would be scientific to apply the multi parameter comprehensive monitori ng and measuring mode and the mode should be combined with the occurrence mechanism of the mine pressure bumping.A comprehensive prevention and control met hod would be rationally applied to the mine pressure bumping prevention and control method and a fine study was conducted on the method According to the preventio n and control status of the present mine pressure bumping,three conceptions to prevent and control the mine pressure bumping were provided.
