Strategic Considerations on Unconventional Energy Development in China Coal Mining Area

The development and uilization of the coal bed methane, shale gas, geothermal and other unconventional energy would have multi benefits of the resou rces, safety, environment and economy.The unconventional energy resources in China is rich and high in potential, the deposit conditions would be complicated and the development difficulty would be high.Therefore, the paper introduced the resources potentials and the resources features of the coal bed methane, shale gas, geotherm al and other unconventional energy, and analysised the development status and the existed problems.In combination with the experience enlightenment of the unconve ntional energy development in USA and the actual conditions of the unconventional energy development and utilization in China, the relevant proposals to the unconven tional energy development in China coal mining area were provided.
