Abstract
In order to analyze variation of the cutting loads by cutting depth on conditions of pick turn around the axis of Coal mining equipment cutting head, introd uced three kinds of rock cutting types by pick and the predictive formulas of normal force and cutting force based on Linear Cutting Machine. The relieved cutting test W ere performed with the rock uniaxial compressive strength was 61.8 MPa and the maximum cutting depth was 5 mm on rotating cutting machine. Experimental results s howed that the failure of rock by picks was leaping crash, and the variation of the cutting loads corresponding with the geometry of chips. The normal force and the cutti ng force was correlation with cutting depth by regression analysis, and the side force was uncorrelation with the cutting depth since symmetrical cuter grooves. The regr ession equation of three components of cutting loads were established with cutting depth form 1 mm to 5 mm, and the reason of peak normal force reduce was expound ed. It was proved that the rock cutting test on rotating cutting machine could simulate the actual work process of pick on cutting head.
