Technical status and improvement of thin coal seam scraper conveyor

  • In view of the current situation that China′s medium-thick coal seam resources had been decreasing,this paper proposed mechanized mining of thin coal seam coal resources.It focused on the use of cast-welded thin coal seam special scraper conveyor instead of the commonly used rolling scraper conveyor to achieve mechanized coal mining surface and by comparing the dimensions,structure and service life of the whole machine,the feasibility of the replacement scheme was verified.The results showed that the special cast-weld scraper conveyor for thin coal seam could be applied to the thin coal seam working face; in terms of structural strength and service life,the back cover structure casting groove and the wear-resistant middle plate used in the cast-scraper conveyor were stronger than the open-welded structure of the ordinary rolling scraper conveyor,and the casting groove and the wear plate life was also much longer than the service life of the rolling groove and low alloy plate.The research conclusions showed that the special thin coal cast scraper conveyor could be used for mechanized mining of thin coal seams.
