Abstract
In order to solve the intensively mine strata pressure behavior problem of the exterior alternate gateway in coal mining face in seam of contiguous seams wi th shallow depth,with the site measurement, theoretical analysis and numerical simulation method,study was conducted on the mine strata pressure behavior of the contigu ous seam gateway and coal mining face with a shallow depth. The results showed that the surrounding rock plasticity of the exterior alternate gateway was failed seriously, the max site measured spalling depth was up to 3 meters and partial coal blocks were falling and blowout. All those made serious safety hidden troubles to the gateway dri ving operation and the major causes of the phenomenon occurred were the stress concentrated zone of the overburden coal pillars above the gateway and stress concentr ated zone also born the load of the bed separation in the basic roof near the coal pillars. The interior alternate gateway was located under the basic bed separation and the mine strata pressure behavior was not obvious. The sandy mudstone direct roof with a thickness of 12. 77 meters could effectively backfill the goaf of the coal mining face and the mine strata pressure behavior of the coal mining face was relax.
