Abstract
The paper analyzed the deformation features and the hard control cause of the large cross section seam gateway in deep mine, simulated the surroundi ng rock deformation conditions of the gateway under the different support conditions, discussed the mechanism of the bolt and anchor roles and provided the timely sup port, delay yield, roof (floor) control and sidewall reinforcement, and the high strength support.The paper held that the stable loading structure and early formation with t he support system jointly loading could maintain the gateway stability.The expansion value of the bolt and the multi yield structure installed at the tail of the anchor coul d ensure the support system meet the high deformation features of the surrounding rock along the large cross section seam gateway in the deep mine.The project practi ces showed that during the gateway driving period, the convergence between the two sidewalls was 140 mm, the convergence between the roof and floor was 121 mm and the stability of the gateway was good.
