Abstract
In order to ensure a safety construction and mining in the coal mine,to implement the principle of an “excavation with a exploration” and to reach a goal to accurately identify the mine disaster sources and the reduced rick, the geological radar method was applied to conduct the advanced detection with a high detection accuracy, convenient construction, high efficient interpretation and other features. With the actual application of the geological radar to detect a air income gateway and an air returning gateway in a coal mine of Shanxi Province, the paper had an analysis on the working principle, detection method and data processing flow of the geological radar. The geological radar with two frequencies of 50 MHz and 200 MHz was applied to the advanced detection at the gateway heading face and to accurately detect the geological condition within the front 50 m scope. With the verification conducted on the actual exposure of the heading section, the sink hole, broken zone and coal-rock interface displayed by the detection were well fitted with the actual condition. The study results showed that the mine geological radar could have obvious reaction on the sink hole, fault, broken zone and other hidden disaster sources and could realize the high efficient and high accurate detection of the mine. In comparison with the 50 MHz radar, the 200 MHz radar would have a high accuracy, but a short detection distance. Therefore with a comprehensive application of the two frequency antennas,a long detection distance and high accurate detection effect could provide a powerful technical support to the gateway heading and would be a new method of the mine advanced detection.
