Research on Handy Plasma Coating on Intermediate Pan of Scraper Conveyor

The handy plasma coating equipment was applied to the high boron Fe-Cr alloy coating on the intermediate pan of the mine scraper conveyor and an abr asive test was conducted on the coating.The results showed that the costing was mainly consisted with Y- (Fe, Ni) , (Cr, Fe)2B, Fe2B, Fe23 (C, B) 6 and other phases. With the boron content increased steadily from 2.5% to 5.5%，the hardness and abradability of the coating would be increased and then decreased.When the boron cont ent was 4.5%，the relative abradability of the coating would be 5.4 times higher than the basic material.The underground test showed that the service life of the interme diate pan with the coating would be increased by 23 times.
