Abstract
In order to solve the random and fuzzy problems of the rock uniaxial compressive strength caused by the lithology, the test environment, physical enviro nment and other factors, according to the roof rock strata above No. 11-2 seam of Huainan Mining Area, an uniaxial compressive tests were conducted and there were 8 8 group test data obtained.Based on uniaxial compressive strength as a dependent variable and the elastic modulus and natural density as an induced variable, the prof essional mathematical statistics software was applied to establish a multi element non-linear regression model.With the application of the model, a prediction was cond ucted on the uniaxial compressive strength of the roof rock above No.13 seam of Huainan Mining Area.The results showed that the multi element linear regression mod el could well predict the uniaxial compressive strength of the roof rock. The model would provide the references to estimate the uniaxial compressive strength of the roc k in the similar coal measure strata.
