Abstract
In order to study the coal pillar in the gateway driving along the goaf of No. 1021 coal mining face and the features of the spontaneous combustion in the adjacent goaf, according to the coal spontaneous combustion theory, the combined method of the temperature measurement of the site coal pillar, the potential energy measurement and the numerical simulation was applied to analyze the influence factors of coal spontaneous combustion in the gateway driving along the goaf.The resu Its showed that the integrality of the coal pillar would be one of the main reasons to cause the ventilation leakage and the left coal spontaneous combustion.Under the C ondition of the numerical simulation prediction, after 23 months passed, the temperature of the left coal in the No 1017 goaf along the side was increased and the max t emperature was below 60 °C.When the coal pillar was further pressed by the strata pressure role, the ventilation leakage quantity would be increase, the temperature of the bulk coal along the goaf side would be increased and would have the coal spontaneous combustion danger.
