Study on deformation failure mechanism and support technology of mine roadway with soft and weak surrounding rock in deep mine

Abstract
In order to solve the serious deformation problem of an auxiliary transportation gateway in No.7 mining block of Zhaolou Mine, with the site monitoring a nd analysis on the deformation failure mechanism of the soft and weak surrounding rock under the condition of the previous support plan. The surrounding rock easy to be swelled, softening, low loading capacity, gateway in a location with a complicated stress field, the support potential of the support material hard to effectively play th e role and the large dimension of the gateway would be the main factors of the gateway deformation failure. Certain measures to increase the roof protection surface ar ea, grouting reinforcement, high pre-tensile, the enhanced support of the key location and other certain measures were provided and a high strength bolt/grouting supp ort experiment plan was conducted. The results showed that the high strength grouting bolt and the stressed anchor should in a“roof >right wall>left wall"tendency. The deformation value of the roof, floor, right side wall and left side wall were reduced by 79.7%,81.9%, 80% and 77.8% of the previous support entering individually. Thus t he high strength bolt support plan could effectively control the deformation of the surrounding rock.
