Abstract
Based on mercury injection and low nitrogen adsorption experiments, pore structure characteristics of coal seams in Zhuzang Syncline of Zhina Mining Area were systematically studied. The influences of coal reservoir's pore characteristics on CBM exploitation in multiple seam blocks were analyzed. The results showed that the coal samples were dominated by micro-pores and transitional pores, and its macro-pores and mesopores developed poorly. With the dropping of coal seam position,micro-p ore content presented fluctuation. The pores of coal reservoir were classified into three groups by mercury injection and low-temperature nitrogen adsorption curves.No.16 coal reservoir of Zhina Mining Area was dominated by open pores, and had small amount of semi-closed pores. The samples were higher in withdrawal mercury efficiency a nd better in the pore connectivity. The micro-pores and transitional pores of the samples had a good continuity and strong connectivity.Therefore,No.16 coal reservoir shoul d be exploited in priority as a major force in the study area.
