Practices on Outburst Control of Gateway Driving Face in Outburst Seam

In order to eliminate the outburst danger of the front seam in the mine seam driving face and to reduce the gas concentration in the air return flow, the p aper studied and provided the comprehensive technical measures with the gas drainage first and then driving operation as well as the driving and gas drainage at the s ame time.The trial test was conducted in the driving face of No.X13012 air retune gateway in the mine west area of Sihe Mine .After the comprehensive technical measu res conducted, the outburst danger prediction over the limits in the gateway driving face was reduced from 14.70% to 4.17% and the gas content of the air return flow W as reduced from 0.7% to 0.4%. The gas content of the air return flow with pilot gas drainage measures was 43% lower than the gas content of the air return flow with the gas drainage first and the driving late measures. The outburst danger prediction over limit in the coal mining face was reduced by 71% with obvious outburst prevention and control effect in the gas drainage and mining area.
