Abstract
In order to solve the modeling difficulty in the dynamics analysis of the chain driving system in the scraper conveyor and the time consuming and strenuosity problems, with th e ANSYS/LS-DYNA software, an APDL language was applied to establish a parameterized finite element model of the chain driving system in the scraper conveyor. A parameterized dynamics analysis could be realized and could study the operation condition of each type scraper conveyor under the different performances. Finally, a scraper conveyor was selected and an analysis Was conducted on the dynamics response of the sprocket and chain under the different revolution. There was a great contact force existed in the chain bottom in order to provide the torque of the chain ring. The higher the sprocket speed, the chain vibration would be more serious, the frequency would be increased, the amplitude would be increased and the higher impact would be 0ccurred to the sprocket. There was a contact sliding existed in the gearing process of the chain ring and the sprocket.
