  • To improve the efficiency, relibility and utility of data processing for the in-situ stress measurement method using hollow inclusion strain cells, this paper stu died the software visualization, elability checking of data and stress expression. The windows-based dataprocessing software for in-situ stress measurements using hollow inclusion strain cells was developed. The reliability checking of in-situ stress measurements with the help of the data redundancy was proposed. The software provides the complete in-situ stress state in three modes. The software package included the input 1 output module ,the data store module, and the data- processing module. The exampl es showed the user interface was friendly and simple. The results from several calculating procedures had verified that the software was able to single out the unreasonabl e data fast and efficiently. The complete in-situ stress state including the maximum horizontal stress was very fit for the requirement of mining engineering. The windows-ba sed visual data-processing software for in-situ stress measurements using hollow inclusion strain cells was convenient and efficient. It could identify the abnormal testing d ata, avoid the erroneous calculating results and improve the relibility of results.
