Abstract
In order to reveal the formation causes of the karst sinkhole /zone development direction in Huainan Coalfield, thus the measures for mining face safely passing through the karst sinkhole could be provided. With the analysis on three main structure line distribution features developed in the east and west directional sync linoria structure basin of Huainan Coalfield, in combination with the distribution features of the karst sinkholes in Huainan Coalfield, a preliminary study was conducted on the development direction relationship between the north-west directional failure of Huainan Coalfield and the karst sinkhole 1 zone. The results showed that the NW tensile and tension torsional faults were the basic conditions of the NW karst sinkhole 1 zonedevelopment. Under the existed conditions of the NW tensile and tension to rsional faults in the soluble karst rock, those conditions could provide the basis to the underground water migration and thus large scale NW directional karst sinkholes 1 zones found in the mining area.
