Study on enrichment condition and reservoir formation model of coalbed methane in the middle of the Southern Junggar Basin

In order to systematic study on reservoir formation conditions of coalbed methane in the middle of Southern Junggar Basin,a study was conducted on gas b earing,buried depth,roof sealing and hydrology geological conditions of major seams( with thickness over 5m) in the area. The results showed that evaluation area would h ave excellent reservoir formation enrichment condition of coalbed methane.In addition,in combined with structure and hydrogeological conditions of evaluation area,three C oalbed methane enrichment models with widely spaced fold,northward tilted monocline and imbricated fan type structure were provided. An analysis was conducted on coal bed methane enrichment formation process of three reservoir formation models in order to provide the basis to optimize exploration target zone of coalbed methane for rela ted research and development units.
