Abstract
In order to reduce the accident rate occurred in the slipping bar composite support coal mining face and to improve the safety of the slipping bar compos ite support, the enhanced strength of wear parts applied in slipping bar composite support, pins welded on the powered supports, steel cable installed through the coal r ejects baffles applied in the powered supports, square fences added to the pushing jack and other methods were applied to improve the support mode and design of the slipping bar composite support.The results showed that after the technical improvement, the convergence value of the roof and floor in the coal mining face was reduce d, the max roof subsidence value was not over 100 mm, the average service life of the wear parts applied was increased over 35 days, the stability lost and the balance d force reduced, the coal rejects run into the goaf and other problems were solved. Thus the roof beam deformation and failure caused by the blasting coal cutting was e liminated, no tail part raising of the pushing jack could be ensured when the powered support was pushing forward, the coal mining cost was highly reduced, the effect was obvious and the safety of the slipping bar composite support was totally improved.
