  • In order to ensure a safety and high efficient coal mining of the Wanggewieli coal mining face in the deep seam of the shallow depth seam, the site obser vation and theoretical analysis method were applied to the observation and analysis on the mine strata pressure behavior law of the Wanggewieli coal mining face with different overburden strata and to the study on the mine strata pressure behavior law of the Wanggewieli coal mining faces with the coal pillar optimization in Daliuta Mi ne and Halagou Mine individually.The results showed that the protective coal pillar with 10 m width in the gateway could ensure a safety mining of the coal mining face, the cutting coal pillar with 0.5 m width could have the assistance role of the coal cutting and coal loading of the continuous miner and could have a role to support the lo ad of the overburden strata.The thick coal pillar with 2.0 m width between the branch gateways could have the role to support the roof.The overburden strata above the goaf of the Wanggewieli coal mining face with thick base rock in thin and loose strata would be easy to form large arch structures.The load of the overburden strata wou Id be redistributed and would be effected on the isolated or protected coal pillars around the mining sections and the load of the underneath small structure strata would be effected to the coal pillars left in the Wanggewieli coal mining area. Thus the mine strata pressure behavior features would not be obvious.
