Abstract
In order to solve the difficult support problem of No.3 intersection of deep large cross section in Jiahe Mine, the paper analyzed the major causes of the deformation failure in No. 3 intersection were the high ground stress, mining and excavation turbulence and the uncoupling between the surrounding rock strength and s tructure. A coupling support technology of bolt/steel mesh/shotcreting + anchor + floor corner bolt + double control anchor in middle rock pillar was provided. The site ap plication showed that after the coupling support applied, a max roof and floor convergence of No.3 intersection was 69 mm, a max convergence of the two sidewalls wa s 45 mm and the deformation of No. 3 intersection was effectively controlled.
