Abstract
In order to improve the quantity estimation accuracy of the solid mineral resources and to accurately and directly describe the spatial distribution of the g rade attribute, an analysis was conducted on the complicated shape at the mineral boundary affected by the diversity metallogenesis, each directional difference, struct ure and random existed spatial variation mode of the mineral grade. An analysis was conducted on the error causes occurred in the complicated grade attribute distribut ion estimated with the average estimation method. Based on the analysis on the spatial variation features of the mineral grade in the central mining area of Anqing Cop per Mine, the geological statistics and the 3D geosciences simulation technology were applied to establish 3D grade attribute model and to estimate the resource quanti ty. The results showed that the geological statistics method would have a higher estimation accuracy than the traditional method, could effectively reduce the estimation error.
