Abstract
According to the complicated non-liner features combined by the time sequence determinacy and randomness of the gas emission value from the dilling and blasting coal mining face, the R/S analysis method was applied to the study on the fractal features of the gas emission time sequence. Based on the R/S basic princ iple, the long-range related features of the gas emission time sequence was analyzed and the calculation method of the effective related length was provided.Then und er the MATLAB2009b environment, the algorithm program was realized and was approved by the application of two noise sequences.Finally, three gas outbursts time se quences and two outburst not occurred time sequences of No.1113 coal mining face in Hebi No.10 Mine were analyzed.The results showed that whether the outburst oc curred or the outburst not occurred, the Hurst index value all would be over 0.5 and thus the gas emission value of the coal mining face would have positive related feat ures.When the outburst not occurred, the positive related features would be higher than the outburst occurred and the effective related length value would be higher tha n the outburst occurred.
