Abstract
In order to have a mine strata pressure behavior law of a high cutting coal mining face in a thick seam with medium depth, rational working resistance of powered support in a north part of Shendong Mining Area and to analyze the adaptability of the powered support, an observation was conducted on the mine strata pres sure behavior of No.42102- 1 high cutting fully- mechanized coal mining face in Buertai Mine and the working resistance of the powered support. Roof structure and mo vement feature parameters of the coal mining face were obtained with a calculation. A three factor method to consider actual application effect of the powered support was provided. An adaptability of the powered support was evaluated from support, maintenance and mining aspects. A rock deadweight experiment estimation method, a site measurement of the powered support working resistance at an end- of- cycle plus one times of mean square error and transmission rock beam theory were applie d to calculate and obtain an rational working resistances of the powered support and the coal mining face and the rational working resistances were all 16 000 kN. The application results showed that the working resistance of the available ZY 10800 /28 /63 powered support was too small and could not be suitable to the high cutting min ing conditions with medium depth. A rational powered support should be selected.
