Study on stability of reversed inclined soft rock slope at end slope of surface mine

  • In order to reach the target to improve the economic benefit of the surface mine, on the premise to ensure a max mining of the coal under the buildings a nd others, based on the slope stability of the surface as the standard of the slope optimized design, in combination with the Reversed inclined soft rock slope engineeri ng practices at the west end slope of Shengli West No. 2 Surface Mine, with the application of a method combined with the Rigid Body Limit Balance Method and the nu merical simulation software FLAC3 D, with the continuous adjustment of the slope parameters, a study and analysis were conducted on the slope sliding mode and stab ility variation law from the different left coal pillar length to the mine boundary and the optimized design was conducted on the final slope shape at the west end slope of Shengli West No. 2 Surface Mine. The study results showed that the slope stability mode and the stability of the reversed inclined soft rock slope at the west end slope of Shengli West No. 2 Surface Mine were mainly controlled by the weak roof and floor strata. The angle of the stable slope would be firstly reduced then increased with the coal pillar length increased and finally would be in a stable tendency. With the in pit dumping to compress the end slope, the coal at the west end slope under the bu ilding and others could be fully mined, the final slope angle could be increased to 32° and the coal under the building and others were mined out with a quantity of 4.71 4 4 million tons.
